Puri, June 15: Odisha Chief Secretary Manoj Ahuja on Sunday reviewed the ongoing preparations for the Puri Rath Yatra 2025, scheduled to be held on June 27.
Visiting the shrine in the morning, Ahuja assessed various aspects of the festival’s arrangements, including the construction of the three grand chariots. During interaction with the Viswakarma and Maharana servitors, he launded their workmanships and devotion in crafting the three Raths with traditional designs and utmost aptitude.
The state government is making extensive arrangements to ensure that this year Rath Yatra & Bahuda with all allied rituals are performed peacefully. Elaborate preparatiohs are on to cater to the needs of the devotees and vistors, who are expected to come and join the festivity, the Chief Secretary said.
The Chief Secretary also inspected the ongoing painting and restoration work at the Singhadwar (Lion’s Gate) of the Shree Jagannath Temple.
