Bhubaneswar, Ap 15: Celebrity chef Ranveer Brar has been appointed as the brand ambassador to promote Odia cuisine, marking a significant step by the Odisha government to introduce the state’s rich culinary heritage to the global stage.
In addition to Brar, MasterChef India finalists Anju and Manju, along with Season 6 winner Abinas Nayak, have been entrusted with the task of popularizing traditional Odia food. A formal agreement for this initiative was signed by the state’s Tourism Department in the presence of Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi during the ongoing ‘Odia Paksha’ celebrations.

He emphasized that the sacred Mahaprasad of Lord Jagannath and the diverse flavors of Odia cuisine deserved global recognition. "I feel extremely honored. Due to the blessings of Lord Jagannath, I have received this opportunity. Odia food should be promoted across the world," Brar said.
He also called for support from the people of Odisha, urging them to help amplify the reach of the initiative, both digitally and physically. "I will proudly promote Odia cuisine on global platforms," Brar added.
