New Delhi, June 25:The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has carried out a significant organisational overhaul in Uttar Pradesh as part of its preparations for the 2027 Assembly elections. Among the key appointments, Neeraj Singh, son of Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, has been named a Vice President of the Uttar Pradesh BJP.
State BJP President Pankaj Chaudhary announced the new team of office-bearers, which includes 19 vice-presidents, eight general secretaries, and 19 state ministers. The reshuffle follows extensive discussions involving Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, senior state leaders, and the party's central leadership.
Former minister Suresh Rana is also among the newly appointed vice-presidents. Other leaders appointed to the post include Satyapal Saini, Priyanka Rawat, Archana Mishra, Pooja Pal, Suresh Maurya, and Rajesh Yadav.
In a major organisational change, the BJP has replaced all six of its regional presidents in Uttar Pradesh. Nawab Singh Nagar has been appointed president of West Uttar Pradesh, while Puran Lal Lodhi will lead the Braj region. Ram Kishore Sahu has been given charge of the Kanpur region.
Avadhesh Dwivedi will head the Awadh region, Ashok Chaurasia has been appointed president of the Kashi region, and Vinod Rai will oversee the Gorakhpur region.
The party has also retained Manish Dixit as the state media coordinator for a fourth consecutive term. Dinesh Pratap Singh has been appointed chief spokesperson, while Himanshu Raj Pandit will serve as the state social media coordinator.
