Bhubaneswar, June 10: Rainfall triggered by an active southwest monsoon may disrupt the famous Raja celebrations in Odisha this year.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted light to moderate rain across various districts, with heavy showers and waterlogging likely in low-lying areas.
Orange warnings have been issued for Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Balasore, Bhadrak, and Angul, while yellow alerts cover over 20 other districts.
Thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds (50-60 kmph) are expected due to a cyclonic circulation over the Bay of Bengal. The wet spell is likely to continue till June 13.
