Bhubaneswar: The sensational arrest of Pushparaj aka Allu Arjun, whose run-in with police SP Sekhawat in mega blockbuster Pushpa 2 The Rule and the famous dialogue – Main JHukaga Nahi Sala, and the swift arrest on Friday by the Telangana police in a case related to stampede death during the actor's visit to Sandhya 70mm theatre raised many an eyebrow.
Especially, when the Telangana HC said the following,
Is there anything more than what meets to the eye?
More so, when one comes across the diligent reply of the Telagana Public Prosecutor in the High Court when Judge Justice Suvvadi Sridevi ordered 4-weeks interim bail to iconic star Allu Arjun, as the single judge bench ordered interim bail, the Public Prosecutor said,
“After 4-weeks, he should surrender?”
This statement elicited big laugh in the packed court room.
Justice Sridevi then replied: Let’s see.
Moreover, even after Telangana HC’s interim bail order, Allu Arjun was not released on Friday night. Rather was released only on Saturday Morning. In the jail, reports suggest, the actor slept the whole night on floor and didn't take any food.
WHY THE DELAY? As per the HC order, since arrest was made, the bench said, “Bonds to be given to jail superintendent, since arrest is made.”
Here the power play of RED TAPE came into play, for which the actor had to spend the night in jail.
Also of significance is, the statement of Telangana CM Revanth Reddy’s statement at Aaj Tak show on the Allu Arjun arrest saga hints big.
“The arrest has been done in accordance with law. Allu Arjun was responsible for the stampede, as he came out of his Car’s sunroof and waved at crowds. More so, everybody is talking about Allu Arjun, but none talk about the women who died... the actor’s wife is relative of mine... but no interference in the case..,” the CM replied at Aaj Tak show.
Above All, a day before his arrest, the actor was in Delhi to address a press meet over his film’s meg success in north India and across the states, where he said a dialogue, though from his film, it sounded like the ‘New India’ narrative of PM Modi.
“ Yeh Naiya Bharat Hai, Kabhi Rukega Nahin, Kabhi Jhukega Nahin..” the actor said, which means - This is New India, It will not stop, it will not bow down..”
Even as the actor has spoken it in different context, the use of ‘New India’ narrative coined by Modi led NDA govt seemed to have added fuel to the brewing fire within Telangana Congress.
POLITICAL GRAPEVINE
Since the morning of the high-profile arrest, most legal experts say uncalled for especially with regard to the date of the arrest on Friday, as courts go on holiday on Saturday and Sunday, which emanates a whiff of some kind of over obsession on the part of the police and the PP, led to gossips swirling around. Some of the narratives stated below.
Moreover, the gossip has also been that of Allu Arjun’s father-in-law political leanings.
ALLU ARJUN FATHER-IN-LAW
The star actor’s father-in-law is well-known businessman K Chandrasekhar Reddy, who was a Congress member in 2014, but shifted allegiance to newly formed Telangana Rashtriya Samiti by K Chandrsekhar Rao in the same year. He was given ticket from Ibrahimpatnam assembly seat, which he lost to Telugu Desam in 2014.
Tracing the political tour of actor’s father-in-law reveals the following.
