Puri, June 28: With the three Raths parked in the Saradhabali before the Shree Gundicha temple on Saturday, the conservation works of Lord Jagannath’s treasure trove, the Ratna Bhandar resumed in the day.
Chief Administrator of Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) Dr. Arabinda Padhee informed it in the evening.
Taking to the X, Dr. Padhee wrote, “Ratna Bhandar conservation works resumed today, following the Govt-approved SOP. Kudos to the ASI team for their remarkable 11.5 hours of non-stop effort! We pray and hope for successful project completion by Niladri Bije. With my SJTA colleagues, met and thanked the team.”
The reparing & renovation of Lord’s Ratna Bhandar was undertaken by the ASI after the jewels and jewelleries of the divine treasury were shifted to a safer place for accounting and quality checking. Now the valuables of the deities are safely stored in lock & key in a temporary chest placed at the Sejaghara.
