Puri, June 27:Pulling of chariot in Puri Rath Yatra will be resumed on Saturday.
The Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) resolved it today, following the halt of the Nandighosh Rath a few meters away from the Singha Dwara.
While the Grand Road (Bada Danda) was floating with ocean of devotees on account of the divine Rath Yatra on Friday, the Nandighosh Rath, the holy chariot of Lord Jagannath that catches the eyeballs of visitors, halted a few yards away from the Singha Dwara (Lions Gate) of the Shree Jagannath Temple.
The Nandighosh could not proceed more towards its destination i.e the Gundicha Temple as the chariot set up its journey late in the evening owing to the delayed turn of the Balabhadra’s chariot on the Grand Road.
Responding to the reporters’ queries, Chief Administrator of the Shree Jagannath Temple (SJTA) Dr. Aravind Padhee said, the Nandighos Rath that incidentally stopped a few yards away from the Jagannath Temple due to some delayed rituals, will be drawn tomorrow.
Pulling of the chariot will be resumed at 9.30 AM Saturday following the Sakala Dhupa, Padhee added.
