Bhubaneswar, July 19: Prohibitory order 163 was clamped at AIIMS Bhubaneswar on Saturday evening following a massive protest of BJD and Congress over the Puri girl who was set ablaze in the morning.
The Commissionerate Police imposed the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita(BNS) 163 in and around AIIMS ina bid to disperse the mob, after hundreds of BJD and Congress activists gathered before the Burn Unit of AIIMS and demanded adequate treatment of the minor girl who was admitted here with at least 75% burn injuries. Apart from it, some senior leaders were resisted by the police as they were reportedly attempting to meet the victim and take account of her treatment, reaching out her bedside.
As the tension escalated before the burn unit, the police arrested the BJD and Congress leaders late at night, for allegedly breaching the BNS 163 clamped here.
Till the report was filed, armed forces were seen picking the opposition leaders in separate vans to prevent law & order situation in and around the hospital.
