Bhubaneswar, Aug 3: President Droupadi Murmu arrived in Odisha on Monday for a three-day official visit to the state. She landed at the Biju Patnaik International Airport (BPIA) in Bhubaneswar, where she was accorded a warm welcome by Governor Hari Babu Kambhampati, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, and other senior dignitaries.
Following her arrival, the President proceeded to the Raj Bhavan. Later in the evening, she is scheduled to inaugurate a private university in Cuttack district as part of her official engagements.
On August 4, President Murmu will travel from Bhubaneswar to Berhampur by train before proceeding by road to the Taptapani hot spring in Sanakhemundi block of Ganjam district.
The President is scheduled to stay overnight at the Army AD College, Golabandha, in Ganjam district on Tuesday. She will conclude her Odisha visit and return to New Delhi on August 5.
