Bhubaneswar: ‘Baahubali’ Prabhas-fronted Salaar Part 1 - Ceasefire is all set to re-release on the big screen on March 21. The movie, directed by Prashanth Neel, which was originally released in December 2023 and emerged as a box office hit with over 700 crores gross collection worldwide, is witnessing a strong start in the pre-sales.
The Prashanth Neel directorial action thriller created an unparalleled rage and left a significant impact globally when it was released in the year 2023. The cinephiles and Prabhas fan had then gone gaga over the movie and Prabhas stellar show.
WHY SALAAR -1 RE-RELEASE?
Reports say since Salaar has been trending on Disney Plus Hotstar for more than a year now, and as the movie is slowly becoming popular nationwide, the makers decided to re-release it across the country.
Two years down the line, it seems the crazy for Prabhas and Salaar has not denuded. The cinephiles exhibit the same magnitude of love for the film. In the re-release, the craziness is highly evident as shows are already selling out, and extra screenings being added due to heavy demand.
The Prabhas -starrer Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire, which is set for re-release on March 21, is witnessing solid advance bookings. Earlier today, bookings for a special screening at Bengaluru’s Sandhya single-screen theater went live for the evening show, and tickets sold out within minutes.
Owing to overwhelming demand, a night show was also added—only to witness fully booked in no time. In Hyderabad, eight limited shows were opened, all of which have already gone house full. At Sudarshan 35MM, shows went houseful in just some time of opening of bookings.
As per Sacnik, the Prabhas-starred movie saw selling of over 25K tickets on the first day. The trend continues to be strong, and on the second day so far, it has sold nearly 50K total tickets, which is excellent.
WHY RE-RELEASE CRAZE IMPORTANT?
As per box-office pundits, the box office result of Salaar re-release might also dictate the term for its sequel – Salaar -2 which is scheduled to be released later this year.

The Salaar: Part 2 - Shouryanga Parvam is a high-voltage Telugu action drama film written and directed by Prashanth Neel and produced by Vijay Kiragandur under Hombale Films.
While Prabhas plays the titular role, the movie also stars Prithviraj Sukumaran, Shruti Haasan, and Jagapathi Babu.
The music was composed by Ravi Basrur while the cinematography was done by Bhuvan Gowda. It is edited by Ujwal Kulkarni and Shashank.
