Kolkata, Oct 24: In a significant development in the investigation of Durgapur gang rape case, the Test Identification (TI) Parade of the key accused was scheduled on Friday.
According to reports, the survivor was escorted to the courtroom amid high security and six accused persons were produced before her to identify them befor the magistrate.
Earlier on Wednesday, the accused were produced before the Durgapur Court on Wednesday after completing their police remand. Subsequently, they were sent to judicial remands as their bail pleas were rejected by the court.
Earlier, three accused were produced before the court on October 12 and were remanded to police custody for ten days.
Two more accused were nabbed on October 13 and sent on a nine-day remand, while the sixth suspect appeared before the court on October 15.
Notabley, the sixth accused, reportedly a friend of the survivor, is yet under police scanner for his dubious statements at different place and time.
