Bhubaneswar, September 18: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will distribute more than 51,000 appointment letters to newly appointed youth in various Government Organisations at the 20th Rozgar Mela on Saturday via video conferencing on Saturday. As part of the nationwide programme, two Rozgar Mela events will be organised in Odisha - one each in Cuttack and Bhubaneswar.
The newly recruited candidates will be joining various Ministries and Departments of the Government of India including Department of Revenue, Ministry of Railways, Ministry of Home Affairs, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Department of Financial Services, Ministry of Defence among others.
The nation-wide Rozgar Mela will be held at 45 locations across the country. Appointment letters will be formally handed over to newly recruited candidates at both venues, while some of the recruits will also share their experiences of joining government service.
In Cuttack, the Rozgar Mela will be held at the Convention Centre of the Ravenshaw University Campus. Union Tribal Affairs Minister Jual Oram will attend the programme grace the event as the chief guest and present appointment letters to the newly recruited employees.
In Bhubaneswar, the programme will be held at Rail Auditorium. Union Minister of State, for Rural Development, Kamlesh Paswan will attend as the chief guest.
A total of around 161 newly recruited candidates from various Central Government departments will participate in the Bhubaneswar programme.
The participating departments include Railways (37), Ministry of Health/AIIMS (41), Department of Posts (30), Bhubaneswar CGST (22), Income Tax/CBDT (10), ESIC Odisha (8), Ministry of Jal Shakti/Central Ground Water Board (4), Department of Financial Services/SLBC (3), CISF (2), Ministry of Education (2), Defence Accounts Department/CGDA (1), and Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation (1).
The Bhubaneswar event will feature a short film on the objectives and key aspects of Rozgar Mela, followed by the Prime Minister’s address.
