New Delhi, June 28: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is all set for inaugurating the year-long commemoration ceremony marking the 100th birth anniversary for Acharya Shri Vidyanand Ji Maharaj at Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi.
As per reports, PM Modi is scheduled to formally inaugurate the centenary celebrations at around 11 A.M. Also, PM Modi will address the gathering at that time.
The event is organized by the Ministry of Culture in collaboration with the Bhagwan Mahaveer Ahimsa Bharti Trust, beginning at 9 A.M.
Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Union Minister of Culture and Tourism, also Rashtrasant Paramparacharya Shri 108 Pragyasagar Ji Muniraj will attend the event.
This year-long tribute is dedicated to honoring the incredible legacy of Acharya Vidyanand Ji Maharaj, a respected Jain spiritual leader, philosopher, scholar, and social reformer.
Notably, Acharya Vidyanand Ji Maharaj preserved and promoted Jain philosophy and classical Indian languages. Jain ethics were discussed at length by him. His work did also provide coverage for Jain philosophy in more than 50 scholarly books.
He worked hard toward restoring ancient Jain temples. He did also put in some effort for reviving those temples across India. He was deeply committed to Prakrit also Sanskrit literature and education.
He is greatly admired because his inclusive way of teaching spirituality features helping others, ethical living, and non-violence.
The year-long centenary program will include educational, literary, spiritual, and cultural activities. His message for peace, compassion, also wisdom across the country is truly what these events do seek to spread.
