Bhubaneswar, May 14: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely to visit Odisha on the occasion of the completion of two years of the Mohan Majhi-led government. Sources said the Prime Minister’s Office will soon be informed about the proposed programme.
The Odisha government is set to complete two years in office on June 12. Ahead of the anniversary celebrations, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi held a meeting with ministers to discuss preparations and government programmes to be organised during the occasion.
The state government is planning to celebrate the completion of two years with a 10-day-long programme across Odisha. Ministers have been asked to submit departmental report cards to the Chief Minister, highlighting the achievements and progress made over the past two years. These report cards will later be presented before the people of the state.
Revenue Minister Suresh Pujari said the Chief Minister discussed various aspects of the anniversary celebrations and reviewed the annual performance reports of different departments during the meeting held at Lok Seva Bhavan.
Notably, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had attended the first anniversary programme of the state government and presented its report card before the people of Odisha. This year too, the Mohan government is preparing to showcase its second-year achievements before the public.
