New Delhi, Aug 12: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday launched former President Ram Nath Kovind’s autobiography, Triumph of the Indian Republic: My Life, My Struggles, and praised his long public journey, constitutional values and contribution to the nation.

At the launch event, Modi recalled his close association with Kovind and appreciated the guidance, affection and warmth he received from the former President during his tenure.

The Prime Minister said Kovind’s autobiography would become a “cherished legacy” for Indian democracy and society, urging people, particularly young Indians, to read the book and learn from his life experiences and struggles.

Modi said the book launch should be seen only as a beginning and encouraged readers to explore Kovind’s journey through his own words.

“Let the new generation of the country read his writings and his experiences; everyone stands to learn a great deal from them,” Modi said.

Referring to the title of the autobiography, the Prime Minister noted that while the struggles described in the book were personal to Kovind, the achievement represented the success of India’s democratic system and the Republic.

Kovind, speaking at the event, described the occasion as an emotional moment. He expressed gratitude to those who attended the launch and said he had already shared his experiences and journey in the autobiography.

“I have already written everything in my autobiography, and readers will read it,” Kovind said.

The book chronicles Kovind’s journey from his early life and public service to his tenure as the 14th President of India, offering an account of the experiences and challenges that shaped his career in public life.
