Bhubaneswar, January 24 : .Panchayat elections in Odisha could be conducted two to three months earlier than expected, BJP State President Manmohan Samal indicated on Friday. He suggested that the upcoming census exercise might be a key factor prompting the advancement of the polls

Samal stressed that the possibility of early elections cannot be dismissed and urged BJP-supported sarpanches and panchayat samiti members to accelerate their work. He called on them to complete all pending development projects within the next six months, highlighting the importance of grassroots leadership in securing victories across wards, panchayats, blocks, and district councils.

Announcing a panchayat-level induction campaign, Samal said new leaders joining the BJP would be formally welcomed at their respective levels, extending up to the state headquarters in Bhubaneswar. He described the coming six months as decisive and encouraged party workers to dedicate themselves fully to strengthening the organisation ahead of the elections.
