Permission mandatory to organize ‘Zero Night’ celebrations: Odisha Excise Commissioner

Bhubaneswar, Dec 20: Odisha Excise Commissioner Narasingha Bhol on Friday said that it is mandatory to take prior permission from the Excise Department to organize ‘Zero Night’ celebrations across the state.
He further added that stringent actions will be taken if this guideline is not followed.
As per reports, checking in this regard will be carried out till mid of January 2025.
On the other hand, wide range of security arrangements and special traffic measures will be in place to maintain law and order situation and deal with any kind of untoward situation, said the police.
Enforcement to keep check on drunken driving will be mobilized at several locations, they added police.
