Paradip, Dec 20: A grande Marathon will be flagged off by Chairman, Paradip Port Authorities (PPA) on 3rd January 2025 to mark the port’s Foundation Day.
The marathon will begin at the Hanuman Temple near Gate No.5 and conclude at Gopabandhu Stadium passing through the designated route covering a distance of 14 Kms, said a release issued by the PPA.
A panel of doctors from Port Authority will also be made available to check the fitness of participants, in case of necessity.
All men participants have to deposit an entry fee of Rs.50/- per head and Rs.30/- for women participants. The participants will be supplied with a set of Banion & Short and chest nos. in duplicate. All outstation participants will be provided with unfurnished accommodation with fooding on 2nd Janurary.
The application along with medical fitness certificate, undertaking, xerox copy of voter ID/Aadhar Card & Age proof certificate and entry fee in cash will be received at the time of registration. Registration of participants will be made on 1st January 2025 & 2nd January 2025 at the Gopabandhu Stadium.
The winners of 19th Paradip Marathon will be awarded with cash prizes that is Rs 21,000 to 1st, Rs 15,000 to the second and Rs 10,500 to the third with Rs 9,000 each to the fourth, 5th and sixth contestants, the release read.
