Mumbai, July 19: Actor Pankaj Tripathi, preparing for the release of 'Stree 2', recently shared his views on the meme community, which has embraced him enthusiastically. Known for his roles in 'Mirzapur', 'Stree', and 'Gangs of Wasseypur', Tripathi's characters have sparked a viral meme trend on social media.
Initially, Tripathi admitted, "I used to think that meme creators have a lot of free time and spend it on the Internet, but later I realized they are very creative people." He expressed this during the trailer launch of 'Stree 2' in Mumbai's Goregaon area.
In 'Stree 2', Tripathi reprises his role as the paranologist Rudra. This time, the town of Chanderi faces a new supernatural threat in Sarkata, a male ghost with a severed head, who targets the women of the town and played a role in the origin of Stree herself.
The trailer hints at an intense face-off between Stree and Sarkata, as the people of Chanderi seek refuge in the supernatural powers of Stree. 'Stree 2' is scheduled for a theatrical release on August 15th.
