Over 12,000 teacher posts vacancies in Kendriya and Navodaya Vidyalayas: Education Ministry

New Delhi, July 24: More than 12,000 teaching posts remain unfilled across Kendriya Vidyalayas and Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas in the country, Union Minister of State for Education, Jayant Chaudhary, informed on Wednesday.

 In a written reply to the Rajya Sabha, Union Minister of State for Education Jayant Chaudhary shared the latest data, stating that the vacancies have emerged due to a variety of factors.

 “Teacher vacancies in Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) and Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS) are caused by reasons such as the establishment of new schools, retirements, resignations, promotions, transfers, deputations to other departments, and upgradation of existing institutions,” Chaudhary explained.
