Cuttack, Jan 10: The Orissa High Court has directed the Odisha government to inform it whether fire safety audit of hospitals in the state has been conducted or not.
The bench comprising Acting Chief Justice Dr. Bidyut Ranjan Sarangi and Justice MS Raman directed this hearing a petition filed by advocate Shiba Shankar Mohanty on Tuesday. The next hearing of the petition has been scheduled after two weeks.
Mohanty had filed the petition in 2016 appealing the High Court to direct the state government to conduct audit of fire safety in hospitals across the state.
Hearing the petition the High Court has directed the Odisha government to informed it whether fire safety audit of all government and private hospitals in the state has been conducted or not.
