Delhi, May 7: The Indian Armed forces on early Wednesday carried out a commendable operation in Pakistan and Pak-Occupied- Kasmir (POK), as a strategic war against terrorism.
With an incredible and unprecedented valour, the Indian Airforce struck as many as 24 missiles in 25 minutes, with much precision that devastated at least 9 fortresses of terrorism, that were working as the global epicenters for wreaking violence.
Violent strikes on the specified terror targets in Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir (POK), including Muridke and Bahawalpur - strongholds of terror groups Lashkar-e-Taiba and Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM), respectively, wreaked largescale casualty and devastation in the concerned areas.
More than 84 terrorists were suspected killed and over 60 wounded in the strikes, sources said, as India significantly degraded the operational capability of these outfits.
JeM chief Maulana Masood Azhar himself claimed that 10 members of his family and four of his aides were killed in the strikes.
The attacks, which were carried out at 1:44am, were a strategic move after the terror attack in Pahalgam in Jammu & Kashmir's Anantnag district that claimed 26 lives - 25 Indians and one Nepali citizen - on April 22.
In a statement, the Ministry of Defence confirmed targeting terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan and PoK "from where terrorist attacks against India have been planned and directed".
