Kashmir, May 8: Flying of Drones and Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV) have been restricted Leh Amid India-Pak Tensions.
Authorities in the Union Territory of Ladakh have issued notice in thie connection, citing credible inputs and security concerns about their "potential misuse" by Pak-affiliated elements.
Leh District Magistrate Santosh Sukhadeve ordered the prohibition on flying of drones and UAVs till further order.
Offfenders will be prosecuted under relevant laws, the admin warned.
"This order is issued ex-parte in the interest of public safety and security and shall remain in force until further notice," the DM said.
The order came into force after the Indian armed forces carried out missile strikes against terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir under the aegis of Operation Sindoor.
