Jajpur, July 26: In a tragic incident, an Opera party choreographer reportedly collapsed on stage during rehearsal on Friday.
The unprecedented incident took place at the Sathipura village under the Panikoili police limit in Jajpur.
The deceased has been identified as Mayadhar Jena, who was working as a dance maestro in the Jagnyaseni Jatra Party.
Sources said, Jena was preparing a dance item to perform in the evening. Meanwhile, he complained of bad chest pain and collapsed on the stage all of a sudden. He was rushed to the Jajpur Road PHC for treatment where he was declared dead.
A pal of gloom descended in the area whereas the opera fraternities mourned the death of the veteran maestro.
