Rahanga, May 8: At least one person died and five others sustained grievous injuries after a Bolero vehicle collided with the rear of a stationary truck near Rahang in Bhadrak district on National Highway 16 here.

The victims were returning from a visit to Puri when the accident occurred near Basuli Dhaba, close to Rahang chowk.

One person died on the spot, while the five injured have been admitted to Bhadrak District Headquarters Hospital for treatment.

Authorities confirmed that the injured were traveling back to their homes in Irama village under Basudebpur block.

Investigations are underway to determine the exact cause of the collision.
