Bhubaneswar, April 22: Marking the occasion of Civil Services Day, the Housing & Urban Development Department , Government of Odisha, convened a focused meeting yesterday to deliberate on its reform agenda, reaffirming its commitment to citizen-centric governance and responsive public service delivery.

The meeting, held at the 3rd Floor Conference Hall of Kharabela Bhawan, was chaired by Smt. Usha Padhee, Additional Chief Secretary, H&UD Department and Chairperson, IDCO. Senior officials of the Department participated in the discussions.

The deliberations centered on key policy areas and reform priorities aimed at strengthening governance frameworks and improving efficiency in service delivery. Emphasis was laid on streamlining administrative processes, enhancing transparency, and leveraging institutional mechanisms to better respond to citizens’ needs.

Addressing the officers, Smt. Padhee emphasized, “Civil Services Day is an occasion to renew our collective resolve to serve with integrity, empathy, and accountability. Our reform agenda must translate into tangible improvements in citizens’ lives by making governance more accessible, efficient, and responsive.”
