Cuttack, Dec 4: The Cooch Behar Trophy (Multi-Day Format) match between Odisha and Maharashtra played at B R Ambedkar Stadium in Baramati ended in a draw on Monday.
Electing to bat first in the Under-19 men's red-ball encounter, Odisha scored 274/10 in 101.1 overs. Shreeyanshu Pattnaik (77) and Sahil Srivastava (39) were the two batters, who negated Maharashtra attack on their home turf and fought valiantly.
For Maharashtra, Sohan Jamale (5/37) and Swaraj Chavan (2/66) were the two most successful bowlers.
In reply, Maharashtra piled up 304/8 in 85 overs at stumps on Day-4, to take vital 30 runs first innings lead to earn extra points.
For the home team, Aniruddha Sabale scored an unbeaten 112 and was ably supported by Sahil Parakh, who scored a quick-fire 67 in 61 balls, to help his side move ahead in the game.
Sarthak Panda (4/66) and Subham Priyadarshi (2/61) were the two Odisha bowlers, who were impressive.
However, Maharashtra batsmen showed enough maturity to take first innings lead and finish ahead in the well contested tussle.
