Balasore, Sept 17: A woman was found hanging at her in-laws’ residence in Belapur village under Soro police limits in Odisha’s Balasore district on Wednesday.

Though the exact reason behind her death is yet to be ascertained, her parents have alleged that she has been murdered by her in-laws.

The deceased has been identified as Bhagyabati Behera.

As per reports, Bhagyabati was married to one Umakant Behera, an Army officer by profession, five years back. She was found hanging from the ceiling fan of her bedroom following which her family members rushed her to Soro Community Health Centre (CHC).

Unfortunately, the attending doctors declared her brought dead.

After the incident, Bhagyabati's parents alleged that she was murdered by her in-laws and filed a formal complaint with the police.

Following the complaint, police arrived at the hospital and seized the body. Subsequently, it was sent for post-mortem.

Further investigation into the matter is underway
