Bhubaneswar, Aug 5: Vigilance sleuths on Monday unearthed substantial cache of assets, suggesting significant amassing of disproportionate wealth of Additional Chief Engineer of Odisha Bridge and Construction Corporation (OBCC) Pradeep Kumar Rath.
Earlier today morning, a team of anti-corruption agency led by nine Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs) and 11 inspectors conducted simultaneous raids at 12 places associated with Rath and his relatives in Bhubaneswar, Bhadrak, Cuttack, Jajpur, and Khordha on charges of amassing disproportionate properties.
The properties unearthed during the raids include:
- Residential triple-storey building at Satya Vihar, Pandara, Bhubaneswar
- Residential triple-storey building at Bhadrak town
- Flat at Oyster Apartment at Chandrasekharpur, Bhubaneswar
- Flat at Patrapada, Bhubaneswar
- One crusher unit in Dhenkanal
- Medicine store-cum-residence of area approx. 1000 sqft at Indradhanu market, Nayapali, Bhubaneswar
- 42 plots (three in Bhubaneswar, one in Khurda, two each in Cuttack, Bhadrak and Dhenkanal and 32 in Jajpur)
- Fixed deposits in different banks and post offices worth Rs 88 lakh
- One four-wheeler (Eco Sports), 2 JCBs, one excavator and two two-wheelers
