Bhubaneswar, May 3: Odisha vigilance sleuths on Saturday seized assets worth crores linked to Sakuntala Das, CDPO, Dashmantpur Block under Koraput district. Das was arrested yesterday for allegedly accepting bribe of Rs 10,000 from a newly appointed Anganwadi helper.
Following trap, simultaneous searches were carried out by Vigilance teams at locations connected to Das and her family members. During searches, the following assets have been unearthed so far:
1) One triple storeyed building at Kaibalya Nagar, Dumduma, Bhubaneswar.
2) One double storeyed building at Similiguida, Koraput.
3) One under construction building at Bharatipur, Puri
4) One home stead plot located at Similiguida, Koraput.
5) Cash Rs.47,000/- unearthed from rented residential house of Das at Dashamantpur, Koraput.
6) Fixed deposits in different Banks worth Rs.22.10 lakhs found.
7) Deposits and transactions in 9 number of Bank accounts of Das and her spouse are under verification.
8) One four wheeler (Mahindra XUV 500).
Further investigation into the case continues.
