Odisha: Train services regulated for infra upgrade work in Khurda Road Division

The ECoR urged the passengers to extend their cooperation to the railway administration during the period of infrastructure upgradation works.

Odisha: Train services regulated for infra upgrade work in Khurda Road Division

Bhubaneswar, May 22: To facilitate essential safety related infrastructure modernization works in the Khurda Road Division, East Coast Railway (ECoR) has announced temporary regulation of certain MEMU train services.

These operational adjustments are being undertaken to enhance safety standards, improve operational efficiency, and ensure the long-term reliability of the railway network.

As part of the modernisation works, services of two trains will be short-terminated and short-originated at Khallikot Railway Station.

According to ECoR release, Train No. 68419 Bhubaneswar–Palasa MEMU will be short-terminated at Khallikot on May 24. Consequently, Train No. 68420 Palasa–Bhubaneswar MEMU will short-originate from Khallikot instead of Palasa on May 22 and 25.

Similarly, train No. 68411/68412 Bhubaneswar–Brahmapur–Bhubaneswar MEMU will be short-terminated and short-originated at Khallikot on May 23, 27 and 30 and also on June 3, 6, 10, 13 and 17.

The release further stated that services of two MEMU train services will also remain cancelled between May 26 and June 16.

According to the release, train No. 68438/68437 Cuttack–Bhadrak–Cuttack MEMU will remain cancelled on May 26, 27 and 28, and also June 2, 3, 4, 9, 10, 11 and 16 while train No. 68424/68423 Cuttack–Bhadrak–Cuttack MEMU will remain cancelled on May 27 and 28, and also on June 3, 4, 10 and 11.

The ECoR urged the passengers to extend their cooperation to the railway administration during the period of infrastructure upgradation works. Updated information will also be available through the official railway enquiry systems, it stated.
