Bhubaneswar, Feb 8: Light rain with thunder shower is likely in some districts of Odisha during the next three days.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) informed it in the midday bulletin on Thursday.
The newscast read, Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Bargarh, and Nuapada districts may experience light rain on Friday and the amount and extent of rain is likely to increase on Saturday. The IMD has issued a rain alert for 14 districts of western Odisha including Jajpur, Bhadrak, Baleshwar, Angul, Dhenkanal, and Keonjhar. In addition, rain may occur in 10 districts of coastal Odisha, including Khurda, Cuttack, Jajpur, Kendrapara, and Nayagarh on Sunday.
Meanwhile, shallow to moderate fog has occurred at one or two places with dense fog at one or two places in Cuttack and Nayagarh districts.
The highest maximum temperature of 35.2°C was recorded at Paralakhemundi and the lowest minimum temperature of 13.8°C was recorded at Jharsuguda in the plains of Odisha.
Minimum temperatures observed appreciable fall at a few places over the districts of north interior Odisha and south coastal Odisha, one or two places over the districts of north coastal Odisha, and an appreciable rise at one or two places in south coastal Odisha.
