Bhubaneswar, Aug 6: In a major push to attract fresh investments and accelerate industrial development, the Odisha government will organise a two-day Investor Meet in New Delhi from August 7, with Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi leading the state's high-level delegation.
The investment outreach programme aims to showcase Odisha as a preferred destination for industries while strengthening partnerships with leading domestic investors. Industries Minister Sampad Chandra Swain, Chief Secretary Anu Garg, Industries Secretary Hemant Sharma, and other senior government officials will also participate in the roadshows and business meetings.
Odisha Food Pro 2026 to be the highlight
The flagship attraction of the outreach programme will be Odisha Food Pro 2026, being organised in collaboration with ASSOCHAM. The event is expected to bring together leading food processing companies, investors, MSMEs, industry associations, and sector experts from across the country.
The state government will present Odisha's strengths in agriculture, marine resources, food processing, logistics infrastructure, industrial policies, and investment opportunities before prospective investors.

The state will seek investments in food processing, packaging, cold chain infrastructure, and value addition, with a focus on creating better market opportunities for farmers, fishermen, Farmer Producer Organisations (FPOs), women entrepreneurs, and rural enterprises.
Apart from food processing, the government will hold exclusive meetings with major industrial groups in sectors such as stainless steel, downstream chemicals, and petrochemicals.
Roundtable meetings on manufacturing and MSMEs
On the second day, the Odisha delegation will visit a modern manufacturing facility in Greater Noida and participate in three sector-specific roundtable discussions covering:
· Aluminium downstream industries
· Textile and apparel
· Engineering manufacturing
· MSMEs
These discussions are expected to explore collaboration opportunities and encourage industries to establish manufacturing units in Odisha.
Odisha's vision for industrial growth
Industries Secretary Hemant Sharma said the state's next phase of industrial development will focus on value addition, building strong supplier networks, and converting investor interest into operational projects.
He added that the investor outreach programme will play a significant role in achieving the state's long-term vision of "Samruddha Odisha, Viksit Odisha 2036" while contributing to the national goal of Viksit Bharat through Purvodaya.
The New Delhi investor meet is part of Odisha's ongoing strategy to attract domestic and global investments, generate employment, and position the state as one of India's fastest-growing industrial destinations.
