Odisha to host inaugural ‘ODISHA TEX 2025’ Textile Investment Summit

Bhubaneswar, Jul 22: Odisha is set to host the first-ever ODISHA TEX 2025 textile investment summit on July 25 at the State Convention Centre in Bhubaneswar. The event, which will be inaugurated by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, aims to establish the state as a prominent hub for textiles, apparel, and technical textiles in India.

As per an official statement issued on Monday, the summit will provide a high-level platform for announcing major investments and signing Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with leading textile companies across the country. The state government envisions the event playing a crucial role in accelerating industrial growth and furthering Odisha's goal of becoming India’s textile capital by 2030.

Touted as the largest textile investment event in Eastern India, ODISHA TEX 2025 will bring together a diverse range of industry leaders, including global brands, manufacturing giants, startups, and young professionals. More than 300 delegates from key textile hubs like Tirupur, Bengaluru, Surat, NCR, Punjab, and West Bengal are expected to participate.

The summit coincides with the state’s ongoing efforts to develop six new textile and apparel parks as part of a broader initiative to boost manufacturing, generate jobs, and foster economic growth. The event also highlights Odisha’s commitment to inclusive development, with a focus on rural transformation and women’s empowerment.

“ODISHA TEX 2025 will attract key players in the textile industry and generate significant employment opportunities,” said Hemant Sharma, Additional Chief Secretary of the Industries Department. “With our progressive policies, world-class infrastructure, and a skilled workforce, Odisha is creating a vibrant ecosystem where textiles can drive industrial growth.”
