Sambalpur, June 11: The Odisha State Open University (OSOU) celebrated its 10th Foundation Day on the Varsity’s new campus at Badasingari in Sambalpur on Wednesday.
Among other dignitaries, Co-Founder of Crest’XO Basant Kumar Mishra, Vice Chancellor of Odisha University of Technology & Research Bibhuti Bhusan Biswal and Director(ISM), Indian Institute of Technology(IIT), Dhanbad Sukumar Mishra joined the occasion as guests of honor.
The esteemed guests, in their address graced the Varsity’s significant contribution to the field of education, technology and life-centered skills.
In a majestic celebration organized in this connection, OSOU Vice Chancellor Prof. Shyamsundar Patnaik chaired the formal session whereas Rajendra Prasad Padhee delivered the introductory speech welcoming the guests.
Registrar of the Varsity, Dr. Chittaranjan Sahu underlined the glorious achievements of the institution while Dr. Ratnakar Roy played a key role in making the event grand.
Amid the occasion, an MoU was signed between the OSOU and IIT Dhanbad wherein both the premier institutions inked to collaborate for pioneering education and technology to the next level.
Following this, OSOU’s former dignitaries including the VC, Registrar and Comptroller, were felicitated. Apart from it, two Odia books titled ‘Tumara Gala Dinu’ and ‘Ekala Ekalabya’ , scripted by a student identified as Hemant Deep, were unwrapped by the guests and faculties.
Before the wrap-up, Asst. Prof.(English) Dr. Jitendra and Asst. Prof. (Odia) Radhakant Suna proposed the vote of thanks.
