Bhubaneswar, September 13:  The Election Commission of India has announced a Special Summary Revision (SSR) of the electoral roll for the 71 Nuapada Assembly Constituency in Odisha, ahead of the forthcoming by-election. The revision will be conducted in accordance with Section 21 of the Representation of the People Act, 1950, with July 1, 2025, set as the date for voter eligibility.

In a statement issued by the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) of Odisha, the schedule for the Special Summary Revision is as follows:

• Re-arrangement/Modification of Polling Stations: By September 14, 2025 (Sunday)
• Publication of Integrated Draft Electoral Roll: September 15, 2025 (Monday)
• Period for Filing Claims and Objections: September 15 to September 29, 2025
• Disposal of Claims and Objections: By October 7, 2025 (Tuesday)
• Final Publication of Electoral Roll: October 9, 2025 (Thursday)

The revision is aimed at ensuring the inclusion of all eligible voters in the constituency before the bye-election. Voters are encouraged to review the draft roll, submit claims for inclusion, and file objections within the specified timeframe.

The final electoral roll, scheduled for publication on October 9, will be used to determine voter eligibility for the upcoming Nuapada bye-election.
