Bhubaneswar: Odisha's four players named in the 13-member Indian Rugby Football Union (IRFU) National squad for the Senior Women Asia Rugby Sevens Series (Round-1) to be held in Hangzhou, China on 20 and 21 September 2025. Dumuni Marndi, Mama Naik, Sandhyarani Tudu and Nirmalya Rout are the Odisha players.

Dumuni has also been named as the vice-captain. Led by Shikha Yadav, the Indian team will play in this series for the first time. A total of 12 countries will participate in the Round-1 competition, which will take place at Hangzhou Normal University.

India has been placed in Pool F with Hong Kong China, Thailand and the Philippines. Round-2 of the Asian Sevens Series is scheduled to be held in Colombo, Sri Lanka on 18 and 19 October 2025.
