Bhubaneswar, June 8: Amid a slow and steady uptick, Odisha on Sunday reported seven new cases of COVID-19, bringing the total number of cases to 45.
The updated figures were confirmed by the latest update from the Directorate of Public Health.
As per reports, out of the 45 confirmed COVID-19 cases, 33 are currently active. Health officials are closely watching their condition. The patients are being treated in isolation wards at designated hospitals, and so far, there have been no reports of severe illness.
The state has reported 12 recoveries so far. Public health authorities have stressed that while more people are recovering, it's still important to stay alert and seek medical help when needed.
Director of Public Health Dr. Nilakantha Mishra shared these updates and emphasized the need for public cooperation.
He urged people to follow basic COVID-19 safety measures, like wearing masks, washing hands, and avoiding crowded places.
