Bhubaneswar, May 8: Highlighting the state's preparedness in the face of any potential war-like situation, Odisha’s Minister of Food Supplies and Consumer Welfare assured that Odisha is fully equipped to handle emergencies. “We have sufficient stock of essential commodities such as lentils, rice, and cooking oil, and every measure is being taken to prevent black marketing.
The state government is closely monitoring the markets to ensure price stability and supply integrity,” he added.
Reacting to the developments, Krushna Chandra Patra, Odisha’s Minister of Food Supplies and Consumer Welfare, affirmed that the operation marks only the beginning of a broader strategy. “The action will not stop with Operation Sindoor. The Prime Minister has made it clear that more significant operations may follow,” said the minister.
Worth noting, in a decisive move against terrorism, India has launched ‘Operation Sindoor’, targeting multiple terrorist hideouts in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) in response to the recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam. The Indian Armed Forces carried out airstrikes on nine terror camps and deployed missile attacks to dismantle militant infrastructure in the region.
