
Bhubaneswar, Sept 26: As a Puja gift, the Odisha government on Friday hiked the Dearness Allowance (DA) of the state’s Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) employees by 2%.
Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi approved it this evening.
With the recent hike the rate of dearness allowance (DA) increased from 53% to 55%.
The new rate of DA will be effective retrospectively from January 1, 2025, said a notification issued by the CMO.
According to the database, approximately 8.5 lakh state government employees and pensioners, including those working in PSUs will be benefited with the present announcement.
Alongside this, the Dearness Relief (commonly referred to as TI or ‘Temporary Increase’) has also been hiked by 2 percent that will benefit the pensioners.
