Bhubaneswar, Oct 4: With a significant lead in the high profile Odisha Police Sub-Inspector (SI) recruitment scam, two more middle men were nabbed by sleuths on Saturday.
The accused have been identified as Biswaranjan Behera and his associate.
The Crime Branch of Odisha Police arrested Biswaranjan from Barang while his associated was picked from Cuttack.
According to the Crime Branch sources, Biswaranjan was working as a front runner in the raket to collect certificates from the aspiring candidates. He was also allegedly collecting bank cheques from the candidates who were agree with their proposal in paying sizeable amounts against the questionpapers.While, the other was helping him in carrying the documents to the mastermind’s den.
Worth mentioning, as many as 114 candidates and three middlemen were arrested earlier in connection with the scam while they were leaving for Hyderabad for drilling the answer keys of the Police SI Exam questions.
Further investigation is underway by a team of Crime Branch officers, to unwrap the entire chain of scammers, involved in Odisha’s high profile job fraud.
