New Delhi, Jan 6: In a historic moment, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Monday unveiled new editions of 10 ancient Odia books in New Delhi.
The Classical Odia Language Study Centre has released the timeless & research-based books that will yet enrich the Odia language and Odisha’s literal heritage.
Expressing pride over the valuable publications, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan wrote on X, “A proud moment for the world of Odia literature and culture!”
The post further read, “To strengthen the classical recognition of the Odia language and to bring its rich heritage to the global stage, the Classical Odia Language Study Centre has released 10 ancient and research-based books, which is a matter of immense joy. Starting from ‘Charyapada’ to ‘Madalapanji’, these books will create a new introduction to the rich vocabulary of the Odia language.”
“In particular, the English and Hindi translations of 'Madalapanji' and the English translation of 'Rudrasudhanidhi' will help bring Odisha's history and philosophy closer to non-Odia readers. These publications will remain a valuable asset for researchers and language enthusiasts of future generations. Congratulations to all researchers and translators.”, Pradhan wrote.
