Keonjhar, Oct 7: In a tragic incident, one person was killed and another sustained critical injuries after a swarm of honey bees attacked them in Bansapala block of Odisha’s Keonjhar district.

The deceased has been identified as Hiru Saanta, a resident of Tala Baitarini village.

As per reports, two individuals, including Hiru, were injured after being attacked by bees while grazing cattle. They were quickly taken to Dharanidhar Medical College and Hospital, where Hiru succumbed to his injuries during treatment.

The condition of the other injured person is reported to be critical.

Upon getting the information, police arrived at the scene and seized the deceased’s body. Subsequently, it was sent for post-mortem.

A pal of gloom descended over the village following the incident.
