Cuttack, Aug 29: A newborn baby was found abandoned at SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack on Thursday. The infant was found near the window of the Hepatology Department by Renuka Parida, who was visiting the hospital to see a family member. Parida alerted hospital staff, and the baby was admitted to the Special Newborn Care Unit (SNCU) of the Obstetrics and Gynecology Department.
After initial treatment, it was determined that the baby weighs 1.5 kg and is a 7-month-old premature infant. The newborn's condition is currently reported to be stable, informed sources.
