Cuttack, June 17: The Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Odisha, has completed the rechecking process of answer scripts for students who applied for a review of their 2026 Matric Examination results. As the exercise was completed ahead of schedule, the revised results will be uploaded on the board's official website on June 19, according to sources.
More than 3,300 students across the state had applied online for rechecking of their Matric examination results. Many candidates sought re-evaluation of multiple subjects. Based on the applications received, over 9,000 answer scripts underwent re-verification and checking addition at the BSE office. Reports indicate that marks have increased for a significant number of students following the review process.
The board will revise the marks wherever necessary and issue updated certificates accordingly. Students whose scores have been modified will be able to download their revised digital certificates directly from the board’s website, officials said.
The decision to expedite the publication of rechecking results has been taken in view of the ongoing Plus Two (+2) admission process, for which the last date of application is June 30. The board aims to ensure that students receive the benefit of any revised marks before the admission deadline.
In previous years, rechecking results were often released after the completion of the +2 admission process, limiting the benefit for students whose marks increased after review. By publishing the revised results earlier this year, the board hopes to help students make better use of their improved scores during the admission process.
Meanwhile, the BSE has announced that the Matric Supplementary Examination 2026 will be conducted from July 2 to July 10.
