Bhubaneswar, Feb 20: The Annual High School Certificate or Matric exam for Class Xth students in Odisha will commence from today.
As many as 5,51,611 students will appear for the matriculation or the Class Xth high school certificate examination in 3,047 examination centres across the state. The examination will conclude on March 4, 2024.
About 21 police stations in the state, especially in Maoist-infested areas, have been made nodal centres for the examination.
New formulas have been initiated to stop copying. The candidates will have to enter the exam hall at least one and a half hours before the examination. The exam will be started at 9:00 am. No one will be allowed to enter the hall after 8: 45.
Invigilators will be present at all the exam centres for the first time. BEO and the headmasters will officiate. Nobody is allowed to take mobile phones with them to the exam hall except the centre Superintendent. Artificial cameras will be fitted inside the halls in some locations.
