Bhubaneswar, April 11: Several parts of Odisha are likely to experience rainfall and thunderstorm till March 13, informed the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) today.
Senior Scientist at IMD Bhubaneswar, Umasankar Das said, "Due to a trough in the middle and upper part of the atmosphere, there has been cloudy weather in Odisha and also rainfall in some parts of the state especially in twin city, Bhubaneswar and Cuttack.”
He said after April 13, the temperature will start rising and may reach 43-44 degrees by April 17.
In its mid-day bulletin, the IMD mentioned, “Maximum temperatures observed appreciable fall at one or two places over the districts of North Coastal Odisha, marked rise at a few places over the districts of South Interior Odisha and in one or two places over the districts of North Interior Odisha, appreciable rise at one or two places over the districts of Interior Odisha and no large change at elsewhere over the districts of Odisha.
They were markedly below normal at one or two places over the districts of Interior Odisha, appreciably below normal at a few places over the districts of Interior Odisha, below normal at a few places over the districts of Odisha, markedly above normal at one or two places over the districts of Coastal Odisha, appreciably above normal at a few places over the districts of Coastal Odisha and normal at elsewhere over the districts of Odisha.”
