Bhubaneswar, Oct 5: The Gajalaxmi Puja Committee of Unit IX, under the Gajalaxmi Cultural Association, is celebrating this year’s Gajalaxmi Puja with a stunning theme inspired by the Sun Temple of Konark. The elaborate decorations and artistic designs have already started attracting attention from devotees and visitors as well.
This year, Goddess Laxmi is adorned with a magnificent crown that features intricate depictions of various deities, including Goddess Saraswati, Goddess Lakshmi, Lord Ganesha, and Goddess Kali. The crown, sparkling with jewels and detailed craftsmanship, adds a divine charm to the grand celebration.
Adding to the festive spirit, a Meena Bazaar has also been set up, offering visitors a lively shopping experience with a variety of stalls and local delicacies.
Craftsmen from West Bengal have been working tirelessly for the past 20 days to bring the temple-inspired decorations to life. “We have been working for around 20 days to create the theme and decorations,” said Santosh Kumar Dalai, a member of the Gajalaxmi Cultural Association. “We are hopeful that this year’s celebration will witness an even greater footfall than the previous year.”
The unique blend of art, devotion, and cultural vibrance promises to make this year’s Gajalaxmi Puja in Unit IX a memorable event for all visitors.
