Three Odisha trained athletes earn Commonwealth Games gymnastics selection

Three artistic gymnasts training at Odisha AM/NS India High Performance Centre will officially represent India during the upcoming Commonwealth Games in Glasgow. Tapan Mohanty, Tapeswaranath Das, and Olympian Pranati Nayak recently secured their positions within the final eight-member national squad. This critical selection highlights the rapid growth of modern regional sports infrastructure.

Inaugurated in 2023 inside Bhubaneswar's Kalinga Stadium, this specialized training facility quickly established itself as a top-tier destination for developing elite competitors. State government investments and active corporate partnerships have successfully built an ideal ecosystem designed specifically to foster athletic excellence. By investing in specialized equipment and sports science, the center ensures that local gymnasts receive the exact same advantages as their international counterparts. Mohanty and Das are currently preparing to showcase their intricate routines for the men's artistic gymnastics team. Concurrently, Nayak brings her extensive international experience to heavily strengthen the women's roster.
