
Bhubaneswar, September 4: In a significant move marking Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 75th birthday, the Odisha government will issue work orders for the construction of 50,000 Antyodaya houses on September 17.
Panchayati Raj Minister Rabi Narayan Naik has on Thursday announced this development.
He also stated that this initiative is aimed at providing permanent, pucca homes to families from economically disadvantaged backgrounds currently living in kutcha houses.
Under the scheme, eligible families will be granted Rs 1.2 lakh each to construct a pucca house with a minimum carpet area of 25 square feet.
